Rita's Oats Recipe


My mum, Rita went Whole Food Plant Based after some health issues of her own.


These oats are the part of the secret of my mum’s 13kg weight loss and increased stamina. She was told she has the cholesterol and blood pressure of a 20-year-old!


My mum measures everything and cuts the fruit up small so that you get a balance of all the ingredients in every mouthful.


Ingredients

60ml porridge

2 tbsps flaxseed

2 tsps chia seeds

1 medjool date cut into small chunks

1/2 tbsps sunflower seeds

1/2 tbsps pumpkin seeds

180ml water

60ml soya milk

Add any fruit you like: we added 1/2 banana, 1/2 pear, 12 grapes,10 blueberries,2-3 strawberries all cut up into small pieces


Method

Add all the ingredients apart from the fruit and mix

Microwave on full power for approx 1 min 10 secs or until the oats are cooked through (all microwaves vary)

Add fruit and mix and enjoy!
