Cherry Bakewell Overnight Oats

The first time I made this was a fluke when I ran out of fresh fruit but what a great fluke this turned out to be! These taste so creamy and moreish.

Oats are packed with beta glucan which help lower cholesterol levels. Cherries are full of vitamin C, antioxidant chemicals and may have such effects as improving sleep and gout attacks.

This is so easy to prepare in just 5 mins, the night before a busy day at work and works out much healthier than ready-made porridge pots to go.

Oats are full of soluble fibre and will keep you full for hours, so you don’t reach for those unhealthy snacks.


100g rolled oats

150g frozen pitted cherries

240ml plant milk

1 tsp almond extract

1-2 tsps maple syrup depending on your sweet tooth!

2 tbsps Almond flakes


Mix all the ingredients in a lidded container.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Enjoy the next morning with more almond flakes if you like
